In an interview with The Nation, Gwamba, real name Duncan Zgambo, said he has collaborated with Tay Grin to increase his musical scope.

“I am working with various artists in this album. Tay Grin is one of them. He is a good artist and I feel there is so much we can achieve musically if we work together,” he said.

Coincidentally, Gwamba’s new single—the one he has done with Tay Grin—explores the importance of working together in pursuit of excellence.

The song, which features Malaulo on the chorus and was produced by DJ Sley, has an acoustic element, emphasising the power of collaboration in human endeavours.

“I have looked at the truths of life and found out that numbers are better one,” said Gwamba.

In living the truth, the Bola Kusache star, in his second album, has taken a rather different tone by choosing to work with artists that have nothing to do with his genre. He said his new list includes: Wambali Mkandawire, Faith Mussa and Peter Mawanga.

Besides, Gwamba is also working with international artists such as Zone Fam from Zambia, The Dogg from Namibia and Tehn Diamonds from Zimbabwe.

On his part ‘Nyau King’ Tay Grin, real name Limbani Kalilani described working with Gwamba as an honour.

The multi-award winning hip hop ace added that Gwamba is a great artist who has done a couple of great songs.

“What we want to achieve is a culture where as artists we should strengthen our collaborations. There is power in togetherness,” he said.

He added that they are now working on a video which will hit the streets soon.
